Oh, Look, It's a Bridal Collection That's Actually Interesting

Bridal Fashion Week has just wrapped up and yes, there are trends: cutouts, plunging necklines, crop tops (shudder). Per usual, 99% of the dresses are very prettyprettypretty. Little, however, is unexpected: same gorgeous shit, different season. Enter Houghton’s Spring 2016 collection.

Houghton’s latest isn’t for every bride, but that’s what makes it so fun to look at. This stuff is too cool for the confines of the bridal market, really, and there’s a little something for everyone: blushes, metallics, watercolors, floaty fabrics, pantsuits, fringe. Not every single piece is aces, but the overall effect is so chic that I’m willing to overlook the one truly glaring error Houghton sent down the runway. You’ll know it when you see it.
